We DID win all our critical remaining matches. Even the predicted difficult ones against Leeds and Chelsea. And the 'easy' ones, and most importantly we crushed Arsenal at Old Trafford. This wouldn't have been enough, but thankfully Arsenal slipped up against West Ham at Highbury, easily the most agonising draw this season for them. And Liverpool was out of the game when they failed to win against Tottenham in London, which everybody knew would be a tough nut for them to crack.
And how it went in Europe is another story, and I will tell that later.
