Congratulations to the miserable pessimists (realists) who correctly guessed that we would complete ZERO signings last week.

How many new signings do you think we will make this week by the end of Friday - i.e. officially announced on the club website by midnight on Friday 17th July. And (optionally) who will they be?

We haven't signed no one though, Medicals can fail.

Think we'll sign Morgan next week. Would of been nice for all three 'almost' completed signings to go on tour

Darmian
Schweinsteiger
Schneiderlin

And Close to signing Otamendi

Officially they were right, nobody signed on the dotted line. But we all knew what they meant by zero signings. They were frustrated and being petulant, by zero signings they meant zero gebuine activity by us, zero concretely closing in on targets. Half of them probably did not expect a new player on any of the tour matches since their theory was that if we hadn't done anything before flying out, we weren't going to sign anyone during the tour either.

By the end of last friday night we knew we were going to get Darmian and Schweini bar spectacular mishaps. This is an unofficial win for the optimists.

Yes, but my rules were clear - officially announced on the Man Utd website by Friday midnight, so you have to take into account time to do medicals, etc. They were right, end of story!

Feck your rules. Did not read.

Was right last time. Will go for 2.

Hope its three with schniederlin as well...

Darmian and Schweinsteiger. Think they might both go on tour, I think it'll slow down after that. We're rushing to get deals done before the tour. Woodward will slow down and negotiate more once we're on tour, he'll have the time. I can see Schniederlin going right down to deadline day but I think we'll sign him in the end

Darmian, Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Otamendi & Higuain will all join this week in that order :smirk: Rafael, Evans & RVP will also leave this week.

Doesn't the weekend count as part of the week for you?

Darmian, Bastian, Morgan and one that hasn't been heavily linked with us yet.

Well, I really do hope you're right. Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin would give us some fantastic options in midfield.

Yes they count as the start of the week in this case! Anyway, deals are rarely finalised at the weekend so better to have Friday as the end date.
They can be though, might as well include the weekend!

3½.

Would be ecstatic if Darmian, Schweinsteiger & Schneiderlin can join the squad in the United States and get some game time.

Getting those 3, & Depay, would be excellent business from us so far; much better than I expected. A defender on top of that, and I would be over the moon.

I guess our chase for a striker will continue till the end of the window.

I hope these threads arent going to pop up on a weekly-basis until the end of the transfer window. Anyway, I'm feeling especially optimistic this morning so I'll say three - Darmian, Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin.

That would leave us with just a centre back, striker and potentially keeper needed, to conclude an absolutely perfect summer of transfer business.

Personally, I think we won't sign a keeper and instead entrust in Valdes, while a striker might be 50/50. I would still be very satisfied with our window however.

He might be off to Turkey according to the latest rumours

Darmian, Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin and Otamendi. With Depay already signed, I think that might be it for the summer.

Which would be our best ever transfer window, although a new striker would be great.

Two. Darmian and Schweinsteiger.

I think Southamptons chairman said the other day that their has been no new bids for Schneiderlin so I think we will have to wait a bit longer for news on that.

8. Eds got a taste for it now, I expect him to go absolutely fecking mental by about Thursday and sign 3 players on that day alone.
