Holland international Frank de Boer has hinted at a move to the English Premiership after being told his contract at Barcelona will not be renewed at the end of the season.
The former Ajax defender has been negotiating a new deal with Barca officials for the past few months but after talks broke down this week, the club's directors informed him he would not be required next season.
De Boer immediately made it clear his preferred destination next term was either another Spanish side or one in England.
"I would like to move if there's any other team who wants to sign me for the next two or three years," he said.
"If any team wants to offer me that period of contract, I will get out of here. Now I am happy because I know exactly what I can expect for my future.
"I am thinking of another Spanish side because I would like to stay here for another two years but I would also love to try my fortune in England."
He added: "Now I will wait for June to come and then I will focus on my future."
