How it all went wrong this season

First we offload Stam the best thing to happen to our defence in YEARS.

We offload Sheringham because the board were too greedy to pay his wages for another 2 years.

small reason -- We give players new pay deals even though some of them didn't deserve them.
LAck of hunger as a result.

We Buy Veron when we had no need for him in the team. It was said he was needed for our European ambitions, but Hey they wre almost realised practically with very little input from him.
We look a better team when Giggs,Scholes,Keane and Beckham command the midfield. They play the UNited way. The way that has achieved so much success.

Veron has no fitted in this season, but who knows,
it could easily be Veron that gets the player of the year award next season; that's just football.

Going forward I can see Alex investing in a player or 2 for the defence, no new additions to the midfield and at least one more striker up front, someone that creates as well as finishing, this will be hard.

What if 1 of them is banned, or injured?

well he was banned for 6 months for taking drugs...so that wouldnt have helped our season either.

I don't think he was on drugs when he was here. It's part of the italian culture, they have constantly caught players using doping in those clubs. Hasn't Juventus even been on investigation for this? Therefore I would find it likely that he drugs he took were given to him by his new club.

I have another reason: Veron loses confidence due to fickle fans giving him a hard time, thus this lack of confidence turns to poor play on the field which in turn costs us a major playmaker and ultimately poor results in key games.
