Holyfield v Valuev

Shows how bad the heavyweight division has gotten.

it like Rocky 4, retired former champ and peoples favourite coming out of retirement to fight a big eastern European monster

Minus that fecking eejit Bridgit Neilson though

I am struggling to get excited for this. I really think he should just retire.

A 46-year old, four time heavyweight champion of the world fighting against some of Valuev's class for a very low amount of money is not my idea of heavyweight entertainment. Whether he pulls it off or not. His health moving forward in the rest of his life should be his biggest concern, he has been in some battles over the years.

I will probably still watch though expecting something, because I am an idiot.

Come on Valuev

Was I the only one who wanted Drago to beat the shite out of Rocky as well?

Rubbish song.

Hoping for an upset today. Gotta go with David over Goliath any chance you can.

We had an expert in the newspaper claiming this would be a shit match and that Holyfield would lose it easily... I hope he will get it all wrong.

Well it is a shit match tbf, not over yet though

Didnt deserve the win there Valuev, in my opinion. This is the only part of Boxing I dislike, when people win like that.

That's it.

I'm not watching any more heavyweight boxing for a long time.

First I thought it was crazy that they gave Holyfield a title fight but then he actually proves that at 46 he's still better than Valuev and they rob him.

What a fecking joke.

Pretty much sums it up.

They do like to protect the champs. Thing is, Holyfield couldnt have done much more without being entirely reckless and leaving himself open. He couldnt have done too much more to win the match

Absolute bollocks of a decision, I can't believe that. One judge scored it 116-112! I know they protect champions and give the benefit most of the time but no way did Valuev win that. I feel sorry for Holyfield to be honest, even if it was a circus act.

Utter bollocks it was

Valuev fought like he knew he'd get the decision regardless of anything

With a punch like this I doubt the refs had no other choice than to hand the belt over to Valuev.
