I think he'll end up there. No problem. He's oft injured and lacks confidence. Wenger probably wants him to replace Keown / partner with Sol.

He's not really what we want. We have 2 very bright prospects as it is, we need a bit more. Anyway, it seems Arsenal have asked about him a while back, but haven't done much more since...

He isnt what we need, we need a solid, commanding CB who is a team player and comfortable on the ball. Our defence needs that at least. Arsenal may be happy with two blockers like Campbell and Hofland.

Hofland wouldnt bring our defence together, he would just play his own game (like Stam) and no matter how good that might be, a crap player who brings our team together is much stronger. Look at G.Nev when he plays in the middle, not the best CB, but he worked wonders just by being there. A good CB who can do the same is what we need.
