Ok cafties, this is a pretty epic set of mixtapes dating from 2001 - 2010.

There's going to be some shit in here people won't like but there should be enough to keep everyone happy... though that will be impossible given some of the moaning bastards on here.

Enjoy.

History of Hip-Hop The Rub

Amazing link, I love you! Going to download most of these.

anyone got these yet? whats the mix quality like?

1997s track listing is pure fire

damn my tortoise-assed connection speeds

Yeah been sessioning these for a coupla weeks now. Some serious tunes on years '89-'95, defo my favourite era in hip-hop. Such good albums getting dropped then... Nas, Biggie, G Rap, Big L, Mobb Deep, Gang Starr, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Wu-Tang, etc, etc, all making ridiculously good music. Wish I'd been born 10 years earlier so I could have actually appreciated how good it was cos I was only a kid at the time.

Still gonna check all the mixes leading up to the present day but just been reading the tracklists from recent years and it's depressing to see how badly hip-hop has fallen off.

ye man I scanned through all the playlist and all that interests me in 93, 94, 95, 97 and 99.

Cant find any chronic on there though, surely that cant be right.

There are a few cuts on the 92 tape.

Yep, if I have one minor crit it's that they often pick the right artists but not the always the right tracks.....but opinions and all that. Still a fantastic effort though.

I got linked to these a while back, good stuff.

For those who like the early 90's stuff:

I only listen to hip-hop, but I haven't heard any of the tracks on the newer mixtapes. Underground is where it's at these days.
