Highlander Endgame

I was watching this last night on TV and i was thinking of the series continuity.

Highlander 2 is set about 100 years into the future and Chris Lamberts character Connor is the main dude. Yet Endgame (4th Highlander movie) is set in modern times and yet Connor is killed by Duncan. WTF? Don't the film makers even consider continuity?

They're releasing a new one now, Highlander: The Source, on dvd, not sure if it's a new movie or a re release, looks like the second one.

Heavy retconning

The first movie was the best and should have been left alone. II and III were crap.

Of the other stuff, the series was entertaining at times, and Endgame was an attempt at tying up all the loose ends.

Didn't they decide to pretend that Highlander 2 didn't exist when they introduced the TV series and Duncan or something like that?

Yeah, I remember watching them all when I was younger and was always kind of confused by the sequals as II is set in the future and III was set before the first. I always thought the TV series was a bit silly too, how come where ever he went he kept running into immortals with swords? I've never ran into one in my life but he met a new one every week.

That's because you don't have the Buzz

I liked certain bits about the series, such as the immortal kid who played on other immortals' sympathy, would get taken in to be looked after, then would use this sawn off broadsword and decapitate his protector.

Also the immortal magician who would kill himself as part of his act. And Mikey, the mentally disabled immortal, who had to keep running away. And the immortal Native American shaman who killed so many evil immortals he got taken over....
