Gerard Houllier says an in-form Emile Heskey is the best striker in the Premiership.

Heskey goes into today's game at West Ham buoyed by important recent goals against Southampton and Arsenal and in the knowledge that his manager sees no-one better than him in the country.

Houllier said: "I'm pleased to see Emile back to his best, but I am convinced there is much more to come from him.

"His pace and power is frightening and when he is playing like this he is the best in the Premiership.

"He struggled early in the season, as did many players who played in the World Cup during the summer. But I always knew we would see a different Emile Heskey in the second half of the season."

I think he's exagerating with his attempts at British humour...

Mind you: Heskey did score this afternoon, he is what you could call a bit of a streak.

Heskey has come a long way...

As much as i hate the scousers Heskey can terrorise any defence going.

As an Englishman it's good to see him winning all the balls.

As a United fan i'm glad they're no threat in february.

Gerrard is getting his game together too.

Looks like The Red Machine finally bowed to the contineous barrel of laughs and ridiculement over his stupid signature at the end of every post he writes.

I never thought it'd happen, but it finally has.

One of 'you lot' has actually been honest and given credit where it's due.

I think i need to sit down.
