twisted his knee in the final on saturday.

That's the first bit of luck we've had all year...

uhh, you're asking for it there gazza!!

Latest news: Arsene Wenger has declared Sylvain Wiltord will replace Henry up front. This is good for us as Henry and Bergkamp had been playing well, and they had been using Wiltord on the flanks to good effect.

Anyway, with Henry out, what will Arsenal's eleven look like ? I think Richard Wright will be in goal, as Seaman played on saturday. Is Keown back from injury ? If so, I think he will replace Adams. Kanu and Wiltord up front. :)

Say Thierry Henry with an english accent. Especially the last name. Doesn't he sound a ponce?

Thats an interesting theory Gazza...

I doubt whether they'll play their second string to be honest.. ;)

Now Veron is a doubt. :mad:

Apparently Edu will be in the centre with Parlour out wide. Wenger says he hasn't decided his CB pairing.

Ok, maybe I was being hopeful saying Bergkamp won't play, but Kanu will feature at some stage. :)

Arsene on the CB roles:

'I haven't made a decision yet there. We have what is needed with Martin, Sol and Tony, and I'm taking Igor Stepanovs as well.'

Looks like the team could look something like this;

GK: Wright;

RB: Lauren
LB: Cole
CB: Keown / Adams
CB: Campbell;

RM: Parlour
CM: Vieira
CM: Edu
LM: Ljungberg;

ST: Wiltord
ST: Kanu.

Will be easy, won't it ? ;)

hehehe, I have been trying to convince myself all week that Veron will be injured, when at heart I just want to see Scholes and Keane out there. But hopefully Seba will come on at half-time and blast his critics with a hat-trick. :)

Why exactly do you think Wright will play? Since Seaman came back from injury he has played every game except Newcastle, and Boro in the Cup.

It may be asking too much of Seaman to play two massive games in the space of a few days. He has done it before I know but as you say he has played every game in the run-in. Maybe he will play, but it doesn't matter as nobody can stop Giggs / Ruud / Ole when they are on form, and ominously for you, all three have been in unstoppable form recently. :D

When did I say he wasn't their best 'keeper ? Let me clarify I think either have a chance of playing. I just have a feeling it could be Wright. Wenger is taking precautions leaving out Henry and is contemplating doing the same regarding Adams, becuase Arsenal should still win the title anyway at Highbury against Everton, and he could be tempted to do the same with Seaman.

Gazza "unstoppable"

v Leverkusen x2

v Chelsea -who never turned up

v Ipswich (plus your 12th man - the ref)

Ye ....err "unstoppable" your right mate

Seaman Lauren Sol Adams Cole
Lunberg Parlour Vieira Wiltord
Bergkamp Wiltord

Even without Pires and Henry we'll push you all the way ( AND - If those two were fit my friend I'd have put a lot of money - a LOT of money - on you taking a right pasting )

Still they are not and that evens it up .

We'll see how "unstoppable" you are 1-1 at worst for us , we might even shade a 2-1

:) :)

I was talking about Ruud's form, and he has been unstoppabe. 35-odd goals this season, I'd say that's alright. :rolleyes: And with two Wiltords in your XI, I'm sure you'll do fine. We don't have Beckham, so that makes up for your loss of Pires.

Latest: Adams is out (I predicted as much) and Keown will replace him. Bergkamp is also out, so it's Kanu and Wiltord up front. Veron only fresh injury problem for us.

If Bergkamp is also out then we have a real chance - you sure though? Source?

He is rated as quite doubtful. Like Adams and Henry, it seems Wenger does not want to risk anyone fitness; they can win the title next weekend anyway. With Wiltord and Kanu up front, I can't see them creating much; with no Pires and with Edu in the middle, they lack a cutting edge. No Bergkamp just means Ljungberg (their biggest threat) will have to live off scraps.
