If I download the PSP games do I need to do any kind of conversion or something before just placing it in the memory card?

it depends what firmware you're on...if your psp is using a sony official firmware you can't play isos and csos downloaded off the net

but if you're using a custom firmware, just put the games in the ISO folder of the memory stick and it should appear under games->memory stick under the xmb

By the way I have been downloading some games and stuff anyways what is a Pandorra battery and also what do they mean by Brick and Unbrick in terms of PSP jargon?

You need to downgrade your psp to firmware 1.5 to run homebrew. You can do that using Pandora's battery ... where you basically open up your battery - make a few nicks in the right places - Make a magic memory stick - and you should then be able to run any game from your memory card. If you screw up though, there is a danger that your PSP might get bricked, but the good news is that there are now ways of using PB to unbrick your PSP as well.

I think you'd better read up a lil from sites like www.psp-hacks.com or Here's a useful link : http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_make_a_pandora's_battery etc.

Google is your friend. :smirk:

Some people on the Internet will do it for you for about a tenner though if you look on ebay.

I'd Reccomend you either

1: make your own Pandora battery and magic memory stick, the downside being you need another psp with custom firmware to make it.
2: You Purchase the pandora battery and Magic memory stick from ebay. I've seen them go for as little as £10 for both.
3: You know someone who already has custom firmware, just ask him/her to do it for you.

Its a simple task making the battery and memory stick, but if you do not have the parts, I'd select option 2 or 3.

Another option would be you trust someone enough on the cafe to do it for you..

Good Luck m8

I mightgo down the market and get someone else to do it as it sounds a little hard, as the last thing I want to do is mess it up.

Thanks for the info guys

By the way what happens if your PSP becomes a brick, does that mean it will never work again?

before the universal unbricker was released, a bricked psp was considered dead and useless but now using the universal unbricker, a bricked psp can be "kick-started" back to life

So if I downgrade my version and for some reason it is bricked can I unbrick it with some sort of Software?

yes, if it gets bricked you can unbrick it with a program called despetar del cementerio (its the unbricker/downgrader in one)

but as long as you read the instructions carefully there's a really low chance of bricking

you can check out the psp-hacks.com forums, everything psp related should be there...and goodluck :D
