He's a massive talent, and a character, two things which Heavyweight Boxing is lacking, has done for a while.

And his profile is modest when compared to his achievments thus far.

How highly do you rate him? How far can he go?

Below is a vid of his cameo when stepping up a weight against the [World Ranked No 11] Pole Tomasz Bonin.

He has skills and power but his stamina is still questionable (although not as questionable as it once was in all fairness). His chin is not great either and he could be 'found out' at heavyweight. Despite all that, the only person there is to fear at heavyweight at the moment is Wladimir Klitschko (although there are three or four heavyweights whose stocks are on the rise). There's no reason why he can't get one of the belts though with some of the garbage holding them right now.

i would have liked to see him agree to fight Enzo maccarinelli before stepping up to heavyweight, which would have been on the cards after his last win. he is a very good prospect though and it will be interesting to see him fight at heavyweight.

Tbf the guy he was fighting against looked quite shit right there, he must have come in outta shape or something

Another Brit's snuck in ahead of him.

Naturally the announcment has been swamped by the build up to the HattonMayweather fight, but here are the details.

London, England (Sports Network) - Ruslan Chagaev will defend his WBA heavyweight title on January 19 by facing Matt Skelton in Dusseldorf, Germany.

How the Pole got to 11 in the rankings I'll never know. No guard at all - I could have knocked him out!

Skelton must be pushing 40 by now?

Shows how weak the heavyweight division is at the moment if he's getting title fights.
