4.5 Presentation
A bland story with weak characters and simplistic commentaries on serious topics, Haze is a generic tale at best about war.

4.0 Graphics
Tons of visual issues abound within the game, from texture tears and non-descript environments to pop-in and odd animation problems.

5.0 Sound
Dialogue is hokey and repetitive regardless of what side you're on. Sound effects are good, but that's not enough to make you turn the volume up once you've hit mute.

4.5 Gameplay
A creative concept hampered by gimmicks, a weak story and poor AI, Haze is a disappointment from a developer well versed in shooter mechanics.

4.5 Lasting Appeal
Two player split-screen and four player co-op helps put a minor spin on the campaign, but it won't extend the replayability of the game much. Nor will multiplayer modes and its useless merit system.

4.5 OVERALL POOR
(out of 10 / not an average)

Closing Comments
Haze was touted as a great PS3 exclusive from a developer well versed in first-person shooter mechanics. While Free Radical does have a solid pedigree, Haze does not live up to the company's reputation thanks to a horrible plot, weak gameplay mechanics and visuals that are truly underwhelming. While playing with friends is enjoyable, not even those are enough to bring this lackluster title around.

Famitsu gave it 34/40 in Japan, but overall it has recieved negative reviews.

I did enjoy the demo so I'll be trading GTAIV in and getting this.

heh.. always happens... I thought the demo was awesome tbh.

Reviewers generally suck cock anyway.

I have yet to see a PS3 exclusive that has recieved a "OMG you must buy this" review.
Stupid sony and their insane amount of hyperthreading.

Is there a demo out for MGS, i thought I heard a couple people talking about it and saying it was slow and shit.

feck sake.

Instead of not listening to pathetic pricks like those employed at 'IGN' or similar sites, at least play demos or at very worst read Weaste's thread on the average gamer. It's worth it for any 'fanboy' who really wants to understand more.

Haze is at least an interesting concept. How many people here have played Portal? It falls in many categories that Haze does, but is truly excellent. I'll judge Haze when I play it, otherwise I'll not be reading pathetic reviews made by idiots who truly know nothing about the things they pretend to.

Stupid sony and their insane amount of hyperthreading.

The only "threading" that can go on is on the PPU. XB360 CPU runs 6 "threads" on 3 PPUs. If you want to know, PS3 has 1 PPU (two threads), and 6 streaming processors available to games. In your mind 6 vs. 8? Stupid Microsoft.

I've just got it off my bro...

It seems ok to me, but then again I got pissed off after not being able to drive through that valley thing, kept blowing up. Which was a bit shit.

Dialogue is a bit shit though, and non skippable cutscene things? :|

Erm, I bought Haze on saturday.

I wish I had read some reviews.

:lol::lol:

I was going to get it a while back but then I actually read the reviews.

A few off here were saying it wasn't all that either in a thread a month ago.

I never understood why Haze ended up as it is, didnt really expect the likes of Free Radical to make a right mess of it.
