Hattrick

I used to play properly years ago. Bought that yearly membership and had a quality team. Died off tho. Made one recently for the laugh tho. WakeNBake Field FC or somet hahah

I've been playing for about 8 real life years. Quite seriously for the first four years or so, had quite a team for a while. At one time I was battling for promotion to the Pacific Premier (the top league in Oceania), got to the QF of the Cup and was generally regarded as Oceania's best defence trainer at the time. Had a few players in the U20 and full national Oceanian squads as well.

I've slipped off quite a bit since then as I haven't been spending much time on there. Become a somewhat midtable Div III team and my teams aging quite a bit without having the funds to improve as much as I'd like.

Rockhampton Wolves is my team's name if you want to look me up.

Yaps, it looks like you don't seem to have a training system set up. That is by far the best way to improve your team. Get a bunch of kids in one position and train them up for a couple of seasons, then you can sell some of them and buy top players in the other positions you need. It may weaken you slightly for one or two seasons, but it'll make your team far stronger in the long-term.

Hurrah! An actual player!!!

I had a team about 8 years ago and played for years, then let it slip. I'm now back. I'm quite aware of the training team. I have an awesome back 4 in my youth team which are waiting to come through the ranks, I have a plan, it's just slowly happening!

I shall look you up and of course challenge you to some sort of friendly!

Just created a team. Have no clue what I'm doing so should be fun

If you new guys have any questions, just ask here. Like I said before, the biggest bit of advice I can give is to read up on the training system and get a training regime set up. You should be able to pick up a bunch of 17yo passable's in one position for fairly cheap, and within two seasons they could be around brilliant in skill. Sell half of them, use the money to improve your other positions and you'll be line for some complete ownage of all the other teams around you.

It's a good game in that it can be as simple or as in-depth as you want.

I did play this a while back, got stuck in the lower leagues though without knowing how to get better. Will sign up again now. Any real benefits to buying gold membership?

My word. We could have enough here for friendlies each week and everything. Well done people!

it used to me much better than it is now. I was around back in the day where there was that swedish guy whos photo was always blocked by something like a flag or a bucket or somet. He was like the worlds friendliest player. one of a kind.

then there was the guy who owned a sick team full of players with real names like Thierry Henry and Raul Gonzalez.

I remember that... Ahhh happy days!

what a find!

I recently remembered my striker from when i first started. Came with club when i started up. Lorne Spalding he was called. Had a massive receeding hairline like Robben and wasnt really good statistically. Like just Solid scoring and some other average stats. Bout 29 but he rattled in 29 goals for me or somet daft. Won the league that season

I used to play this quite seriously years ago. That's actually how I found another game I'm playing quite seriously right now, Conquerclub.com (online RISK, basically).

Was quite fun. Remember I trained up a fantastic keeper at one point.

Same, although not the actually playing it part, it used to eat too much of my time

I'm sure you could get plenty on here playing it though

I'm not playing it very much right now, basically just clan games (I somehow got myself into one of the top clans). I've got a Masters to write, and looking for a job, etc. It's a lot of fun if you get into it, though. People can get a "head start" as it were, just by being willing to learn and attaching themselves to a more experienced player, or a clan, and getting used to some of the addons.

At one point I regularly had close to 100 games running at the same time. That was way too demanding, though :p

I had one of those players. Me and my mates just called him Alan because none of us could say his last name. He was a defender that seemed to just score goals galore!
