Cant beleive there is no active thread in this forum about the Hatton V Mayweather fight next weekend.

What are people thinking?

I have been saying Mayweather will win for moths, but i have a feeling now that Hatton will do it.

Anyone been watching the 24/7 build up shows on Sky?

seen some coverage on sky , its the hard working salt of the earth northerner versus the flash brash wannabee gangsta rapper loud mouth ,hope Hatton knocks him out even though he's a shitty bastard

I understand a lot of the support you guys have for Hatton, what with the majority of you being British in some way or another, but sadly, he won't. Mayweather isn't considered the best pound for pound fighter for nothing.

Hatton will be lucky if he lands more than 100 punches.

Yeah, but if Hatton connects with just one of those 100 punches, Mayweather could buckle like Castillo did.

Thats what i thought. But Mayweather has been on the US equivalent of Strictly Come Dancing at the same time as hes been preparing for the fight – who knows, that may mean he comes into the fight under repaired.

Apparently, Mayweather has a hand injury.

I timed my trip to Vegas badly, should have gone next week. Not an awful lot going on to promote it, there are more adverts for 'Carrot Top', a shitty American comedian. Yanks and their priorities

Anyway, the closer we get, the more convinced I am that Hatton will win this fight. He looks in some shape, and there are rumours of a Mayweather injury. ALl of which means Mayweather will probably keep up his knockout record

Hatton is in some shape though. Better than in his last 3 fights, definitely.

Mayweather's taking part in Dancing with the Stars FFS.

I would dearly love to be wrong about this, but Mayweather is just too good I'm afraid

Does anyone know what time Hatton is actually going in to the ring? Im just not sure whether to order it not. I dont want to be staying up to unearthly hours watching it.

I've seen him win fights one handed...because the other one broke on some poor chumps head.

Mayweather is always in great shape.

I'm guessing it will be around 3 or 4 am.

He will, but Ricky won't submit easily. And what concerns me is the home advantage with the decisions, the Americans will favour Mayweather.

'Mon Mayweather! :D

Did anyone see the video of them live on SSN?

Funny as feck

There is not one person i would like to see humbled more than "Money Mayweather" - especially by a fellow Manc like Ricky.

I will be watching at 4 in the morning.

Jeff Lacy v Peter Manfredo is on the undercard - two Calzaghe victims. I thought Hattons brother was also on the the undercard, but i cant find any info on that.

Sky PPV or Box Office or whatever you want to call it. 14.95 i think it is.

Will get it in, but it will probably end up like all fights i order in. Ill get pissed and fall asleep before the thing starts and end up looking up the result on teletext

From watching 24/7 on HBO (outstanding show, watched the De la Hoya/Mayweather version earlier this year as well), Hatton seems like a good guy, and definately a hard worker. But Mayweather hasn't reached this point in his career without also being one of the hardest workers in boxing. He is a boxing machine. His whole life has been boxing. I know his attitude is offputting, but you can't discredit his work ethic.

Cheered for De La Hoya, but will be going for Mayweather this time around, what with USA !, USA ! and all. :D:D

Hatton seems like a real decent guy though, so I definately won't be cheering against him so to speak.

I think Mayweather will win it on points.

Me too. I reckon Mayweather will probably be too clever for Hatton. He will stand off Hatton and use his reach advantage to pick him off. It will be close but Mayweather will win on points but only just. I like Hatton but he has never met someone of Mayweathers class before.
