Manchester United have been linked with yet another swoop, this time for Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. The Old Trafford club are expected to make a move for the Dutch international within the next week, in order to beat the European transfer deadline. Hasselbaink is said to want out of Chelsea due to their recent slump in form, that has seen them slip to well below the other title contenders. United are looking to the 13 million rated to improve their already strong attack and feel that Hasselbaink would be the perfect partner for their No. 10, Ruud van Nistelrooy. However, the European giants will no doubt face stiff competition from other European clubs such as Barcelona and Atletico Madrid who are looking to take him back to Spain where he spent one year with Atletico Madrid.
Meanwhile Dwight Yorke's future at Old Trafford looks extremely bleak as he has not established himself in the first team this season and would be looking to get first team football at other clubs. Paris Saint-Germain are the latest club to be linked with the Trinidadian born striker. They would, of course, face stiff competition from the likes of Middlesbrough and Sunderland, both clubs' managers having expressed an interest in signing Yorke.
