I think he's been fantastic this world cup and could provide cover for both Giggs and (although to a lesser extent) Becks. What would he cost? 7, 8? He'd be excellent for us, can beat a player, seems composed on the ball and in passing and rarely loses possesion. He'd be fantastic back-up on either flank.
Also, if we break the bank for a Rio/Nesta what kind of money will we be left with, assuming that Veron or alternativly 2 or 3 less expensive players (Quinton, Luke, Phil perhaps) could be moved to finance the major buy.

Hasan Sas is a quality player. Buying him would be more sense than buying Ronaldo, unless RVN was going( <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[No No]" /> ) - cheaper, much better value for money, less injury worries. IMO, We should buy from Greece/Turkey/Holland/Germany (better value for money), and sell to Italy/Spain(idiotic clubs wasting their money, many times on substandard players.)

Perfect wing and center forward back up he is but fergie won't think of this :(
Unless we can send him an e- mail :)

Is it possible that Sas might not be as versatile as I assume? Are we sure that he can play right midfield as well? His work rate does seem good so I have no doubts about him on left Mid as well as up front in a linking role. As an Irishman I'm a big Duffer fan but if they were at the same price I'd prefer Sas, given that he'll be a good few mil cheaper I honestly think he'd be a much better bet. Although are we certain he can play right as well? any turks here that would have seen more of him?

Sas can play on the right, he has done so. But Turkey have no one but SAS on the left, but Basturk on the right.

From what I've seen of him so far, he is an excellent player, classy and combative too.
I'd be chuffed to have him onboard, providing he repeats his world cup performances in a United shirt.

Sas looks very hard working, he gave Brazil a run in their first round game. He covers a lot of ground in the link role, up and back and plenty of width. He has a good shot and is not bad in the air. I think he could be the link man for Ruud. I'm surpirised there has not been more said about him. Though with Turkey getting this far he is lkely to interest the Italian clubs as well.

The Turks have gotten to the WC semis without a significant contribution from Sukur. Imagine how good they'd be if he were fully fit.

the arse and nantes are interested in him at the moment...that said, i would love to see him with united...hard worker, smart player...seems to set things up well...

He has been very impressive in the WC but that doesn't always translate to club level. MIght end up being a bit of a Poborsky.

He seems a very different kind of guy to Poborsky temprement wise, and his work ethic seem fantastic. There was though something about him being banned a year back for loading up? This could make us less likely to go for him but if Fergie is looking for a class squad strengthener at 8 mil he's the man
