I believe he will at 1st of July.
He's not good enough anyway. Unfortunate. Hopefully he can get a club soon and get a decent career for himself.
Anyone know what other players are being released?

Christy had trials at Falkirk after it was announced that his contract would not be renewed.....

he had a trial at a relatively local club (i forget who now) but didn't do enough to earn a contract there. don't think any of those being released have found a club yet despite various trials.
further to that, he played and scored for Cheltenham's reserves on April 8th.
Is Ritchie Jones out of contract this summer and if so will he be released?

There was interest I think, nothing concrete perhaps but the GHA place became open to him and I guess it was a choice of definitely taking that or gambling on getting a club through various other trials.
Has worked out well so far for him, both with the U21 call-up (although he was an unused sub) and also he's on trial at Southampton at the moment.

Some players do need to go quite far down to find clubs...
Aaron Burns and Michael Barnes are an example (Blue Square Premier).
Killester United or Ballymun United for Mr. Fagan I think.
Oh and hopefully they'll be slightly more useful than their Andalucia neighbours Xerez CD, currently doing a Derby County in Liga BBVA.
