Kinell what a weird start to the race!

6 cars only starting the race due to Michelin shod cars not starting as they don't think their tires will hold up as there is a banking at the last turn.

Ferrari are wankers for rejecting the plea to get a chicane but I can see their reasons. Hopefully they'll retire or some shit

Just turned it over, is it true that people are throughing dtuff onto the track?

frankly i don't put the blame on ferrari or bridgestone. they did what they need to do. It is the michelin need to shot themselve.

frankly there is no way to put a chicane on any race just because the tyre company says they cannot race.

Michelin should ensure that their tyre is ready. End off

Yeh they are and they are absolute feckwits for doing so. they could easily kill a spectator or a driver.

And Michelin fecked up big time yes but Ferrari have done a massive PR feck up when they refused to install the chicane where everyone else agreed. Schumacher will be embarrassed I am sure as will the rest of the Ferrari team.

So whats wrong with Michelins tyres why can't the go on that last turn?

fecking ridiculous. Bunch of fecking pussies, all teams should have started, this only favours Renault. Kimi had walked away with this.

Ohh well, what I find particularly amusing though is that this happens in the States, one of the most important races in the circuit. The F1 pilots look like a bunch of women compared to the NASCAR drivers now.

There's a banking on the last turn and it adds extra weight onto the left rear tyre and theyre' not allowed to change the tires as wellunless they do a specific tyre stop and not refuel. And in the warm up I think the Michelins couldn't last more than 10 laps going through that banking.

Is fecking ridiculous. Fat yanks throwing stuff in the path of cars. Yes its a farse, but doing that is just plain stupid.

frankly why ferrari have to follow just because michelin tyre can't compete.? (frankly i wish BAR would have race)

it's the FIA and michelin problem.

No Ferrari really have made a pr blunder. They had the chance to install the chicane and have a race, but only allow the bridgestone runners to score points.

On a diferent note though the fecking yank fans are absolute wankers/ There moaning about the situstion which is fair, but half of them dont even have a clue what their on about. They would probably be the 1st to complain if a car had crashed and killed a fat yank fan how was to big to get out the way of flying debris.

Well no surpise there Schumacher wins his first race of the season

Well done to Monteiro though, podium for Jordan!

:wenger:
As well, it´s always Ferrari, which takes profit from such a situation.

What if a few of the Michelin tyres blew out and there were deaths/serious injuries to drivers, spectators or officials?

Would they look like a bunch of women then?

Correct.

And put on its arse by the rulemakers, not as people would have you believe, by Michelin.

Good point.

It was always a matter of time before this type of situation pops up

you can't blame ferrari, the blame solely lies on michelin, you can't fault ferrari and bridgestone even IF they had the chance to let every car race why blame them?the rules are the rules,FIA can't bend the rules for michelin,in the end it was the right decision but the race was a farce
i'm just happy schumi is back in contention =)

Rubens is acting like he was fecked up by Ferrari during the pitstops. If the fuel/tires thing happened to him and not Schumacher he'd be moaning his arse off now

The most amazing thing for me was the reliability....I know they weren't really pushing themselves too hard, but when is the last time we had 2 Minardi's, 2 Jordan's and 2 Ferrari's finish a race? Anyone falling off last night would have looked a right retard.

Three weeks ago :) They all finished the European GP, and there wasn't a single mechanical failure throughout the entire field. Just two cars failed to finish, and both were accidents. Combine the with Monaco; traditionally a race where a third of the field at best survives the race, but this year just four cars failed to finish, and only one of them was due to a mechanical fault. Reliability across the whole field has been outstanding this year, no doubt as everyone has over compensated to ensure the engines can last two races.
