Has anyone got a Blu-ray player?

Blue ray of mine is working fine.

Nope, just the ps3 one for me.

I wonder if there is much difference between a stand-alone player, and the PS3 blu-ray.

From what I have read, it seems that the PS3 is one of the best disc players out there. Which is why I'm interested in why someone would pay a similar price or more for a dedicated unit. Obviously they must be selling them, otherwise Sony, Samsung, etc. wouldn't be producing them.

All I can think of is the shape and size of the box.
 
supposedly better quality, but have heard other rumours the psp prforms better than the stand alone

did have a look at the LG dual bd and hd-dvd player, but decided against it as I have the ps3 and the hd player for the 360

HD films are fecking wicked, got the boxed set of planet earth imported from us of a which is amazing
 
I think I have a HD-DVD player in my room, but I'm not actually sure what it is. I can't remember ever getting it, buying it, putting in there or anything. Very strange to just see it and not actually use it for anything.

I'll go give it a look later and see what the feck it is.
 
I swear to god it did.

I don't remember anything about it, until one day my friend told me he was going to buy a DVD player and I said I had one. It's like it's always been there, but I don't know anything about it, or where it came from.

I suppose the only thing I can liken it to is if you had a tramp off the street come and live with you for a year. You wouldn't know anything about him, his past or where he came from, but you saw his face every day and recognized him. Yes, that's exactly it.

No, I don't think I did anything like that. Right, today I'm on the hunt to find out any piece of fecking news regarding this thing in my room, and also to see what the feck it actually does.
 
I kind of like this dual b-ray hddvd thingy. Might get myself one, if I can be arsed.

I have a PS3 and also a stand alone BD player, the player was a gift...

Don't ask me about the quality difference, as my PS3 is connected to a 50" HDTV and the player is connected to a 32"... ;)
