pires is a cheat
just seen it on sky, going on about thier wonderful fans bringing 9000 or so to thier cup final

what a load of crap, top of the league and only took 1400 to watford the other day out of a 4000 allocation

pathetic glory boys more like!

I have to reply as i live in portsmouth, but have & always will support UTD!!!! As most of my mates are die hard Pompey fans - give them some credit, they had endured years of bad managers, players who don't try, not to menthion finacial problems only made worse by the itv digital saga.......I do feel for my mates as at last the Pompey fans have something to cheer about !!! I'm fortunate to have been attending OT regularly for a few years now(oustside the prem years before i get called a gory hunter too!!!)I am very lucky to watch the team i love & watch the game at the highest level, but on the occasion i cannot get to 'OT' i occasionly watch pompey with them, to be honest - they do have a real chance this season of acheiving something good , as they are playing a very high standard of football & consistent -whether/if it would be good enough for them if they do go up is a different matter, but i can assure you they have as good away support as we do !!!!! and they are not glory hunters.. wouldn't you be excited by a draw with us, if you were a die hard supporter of a lower league club!!! To here my friends returning tonight & say why you can see it is called the 'Theatre Of Dreams'is an apprecaition they have of the difference between the leagues/players etc,,so please don't slate them !!!do you remeber the days when we struggled - i do & am very grateful to the standard of football we are privelaged watch week in week out, good or bad game !!! - i'm sure you would take offence to being called a glory hunter..please don't take offence in my reply, but belive me my mates have nothing but praise for some of Utds football today & thats from a loosing team !!! You wouldn't see aresy whinger saying that !!! :)

from what ive been hearing they have been calling all types of call in shows talking shite, how great thier support is, how the ref cheated em, etc

if being on top of the league and looking nailed on certs means they cant even sell 50% of thier allocation for an away game all the way to watford from portsmouth then they dont deserve to be in the premiership.

I thought is was a good interview and he should be proud of their support. They were loud and paasionate and their team did not disgrace themselves - after being blown away in the first 15 minutes.

Have some good grace and give credit where it is due. It is arrogance like this that makes so many neutral supporters hate our club.

I think Redknapp was right to congratulate their supporters. So what if they only sold half their allocation for the last match. They supporters who went to Old Trafford today did their team proud and its a fecking long trip.
As for saying they don't deserve to be in the Premiership, that is complete bollocks. They have gone through years of shit and they finally have a team that plays good football. They deserve every bit of success.
Good luck to Pompey and hopefully we'll see them next season

Fair play to Portsmouth and their supporters, and I wish them continued success this season. Which is more than I can say for what I wish city or poo

feck portsmouth i remember playing them in the old first division, they had one small section in the old scoreboard.

i bet half of them fans who came up wont be seen at portsmouth again this year only to return next season when they get promoted.

I agree with you all & the comment about it being a long way - i do it to every home, so i know what its like - i have to be honest though as none of my pompey supporting mates think they were not penalties - they all agree they were clear cut !!! The positive side is that the team have had a taste of what the premiership level of football is, personlly i'd like to see them go up as my mates have had a few years of dire football & where else could i jump on a coach at the last minute to see the game as a an opposition supporter with my mates !!! some excellent banter all the way though !!! as for ticket allocation, i can only think many fans waited for the cup game nas they do have tremedous away support!!!

just what's wrong with portsmouth? We beat them, they put up a good performance at OT, and Harry Redknapp is right about applauding the fans, as they really sing themselves hoarse.

As for you going on about them being glory hunters, there will always be such "fans" around, don't forget our own team is supposed to draw the most "glory hunters". If you said portsmouth don't deserved to be in the premiership next season just because they had lotsa glory hunters(according to you), aren't you implying the same thing about our man utd?

<img src="confused.gif" border="0">

no because wether we play real madrid or rochdale we turn up.

i dont have anything against portsmouth but what gets my goat is why should they applauded for singing themselves hoarse against man utd, id be more impressed if they took 9000 to wimbledon this season and sung themselves hoarse

thats because Harry Redknapp isnt going to get a chance to go on telly after a match against Wimbledon..

its only natural that more fans will want to come to the big glamour cup tie against United.

i thought they did their division proud

yeah and then you look at the attendences of ex first division clubs bolton and fulham in the cup this weekend

10000 the both of them in grounds that hold more than twice that much against premiership opposition an all, yet u can bet bolton, portsmouth and fulham fans will all be calling us glory hunting cnuts

it makes me puke
