So who's going to watch it on BBC 1 now ?

I'm a little disappointed it doesn't have Michael Myers in it, and that it doesn't follow on from Halloween 1 and 2.

Time to switch this shit off, and go and play Fifa......

ah, that is a film that people should be told about before watching it. What the feck were the film makers thinking of?

John Carpenter was contractually obliged to make two more Halloweens. He begrudgingly wrote a second but found it difficult to continue the story and wasn't impressed with the end result. He killed Michael Myers off at the end of the second one because he thought the story shouldn't have continued after the 1st film and wanted nothing to do with furthering the story any more. That is why Halloween III is an entirely different film. He even managed to get out of writing the third one (he was a producer though I think).

If Halloween 3 had been a commercial success they planned to release a Halloween themed movie each year under the title of the Halloween Franchise.

It wasn't and Michael Myers returned a few years later in Halloween 4 due to strong Fanboy petitioning.
