Haaland at City

I enjoyed Henry and Carraghers' post match review on Haaland. Carra thought he didnt contribute enough in his hold up play whereas Henry was more concerned about the fact that he wasn't making runs when the opportunity was there.

This 10 year contract could turn out to be a very costly mistake. If he stops performing, or if his level drops there is no way another team will step into this contract. His wages is almost 3x of Casemiro.
I would be utterly shocked if they did not have clauses in there that dont have them on the hook for half a billion pounds if he phones it in.

Haaland, the club's towering star striker, was accused of hitting the woman in the back of her head before City’s Premier League clash with Southampton.

She went to the hospital suspecting that she was suffering from whiplash, initially believing she had been hit with a stray football.

A Manchester City investigation found Haaland had not acted with any malice or intent.

The club also said that the police decided not to take any further action, the Sun reported.

Making a mountain out of a mole hill. Wasting hospital and police time that's needed elsewhere over a minor grievance.
And that’s what the majority of society are guilty of today?

Do you do that? I don’t?

I said it’s typical of society. There’s more than a subtle difference between that and how you’ve misquoted me.

I’ve clearly derailed the thread, like the story, this is a waste of everyone’s time and resources.

I'm a bit confused here. Since when is it a waste of resources to go to the hospital after a potential concussion? Also at which point is it a waste of resources when someone is potentially the victim of a volontary head injury. If I hit you twice in the head is it problematic if you press charges?

Unless I have seen the hits, I can't know whether it was malicious or not and it is my right to not believe that it was an accident. The alternative is that people can be hit by whomever and people are just supposed to accept it without seeking medical or law enforcement advices which defies the point of both structures.

Stop being so woke.

Stop being so woke.

Ironically, this is the most typical behaviour that we see lately online, people turning off their brains in an attempt to be part of some culture war instead of just thinking straight. If Haaland didn't do it on purpose then the outcome is good but we can only reach that conclusion after the victim notified the incident and an investigation happened, that's how society is supposed to work.

Where did you get suspected concussion from?

Character building. Kids these days have it too easy.

We use to be a proper country.

"A Manchester City investigation found Haaland had not acted with any malice or intent."

It wouldnt suprise me if they had just paid her off
They must've paid off the police too.

Greater Manchester Police have also informed the woman that they do not believe Haaland acted with malice.

Odd incident though. Must've been a bit of a whack to go to hospital and make her post the complaints, but odd to think he'd absolutely twat the mascot and clearly others didn't see it that way.

If it was an accident the police wouldnt have been able to take any action as no criminal offence had been committed however the lady in question could still have had grounds to sue Haaland and/or Man City as the incident was caused by Haaland and occurred while she was working for Man City

Not sure if you’re being serious but people are constantly rocking up to hospital complaining of headaches/whiplash etc after the most trivial of fender benders. When there’s a claim to be made they’ll need a medical report. I reckon she wasn’t so much seeing stars as seeing dollar signs.

Reading this post hurt my head more than the concussion from Haaland

I'm not wishing serious injury on the guy, as much as I think he's a dick, but imagine if this ended up being some kind of career ending injury while he's got a 9 year contract remaining.

Shows how insane these deals are for clubs.

It could be if his career only has 7 weeks remaining.

Would it even matter for them? His contract is a drop in the ocean. Any other club wouldn't be so daft.

I wonder might he have played his last game for them. If they are punished properly, its hard to see him staying.

So what you are saying is that your assumption is that Haaland is guilty of a violent attack and should face the common punishments for such crimes as guided by UK law?

Ive been whacked on the head before and it did not cause anything resembling a concussion, at most a mild irritant. Concussions require a bit of force.

She could've been killed as a great man once said. But yep is a huge non-story.
