Ha! Its Seaman's blunder now...

I got something to say to arsenal fans right now, something that you Arsenal fans swore at our golie about a year ago at Highbury, mentioning something about dodgy keeper? Well, talk about eating your own words! I'm sure the Everton players will take note of his howlers. I mean, everybody will be trying to lob him from anywhere, and if a part-timer can do it, so can anybody. Seriously speaking, i think that Seaman bluder is much worse than Barthez's a year ago. Lets compare. Ok, Seaman's history of getting lob/chip stretch for about a decade. Who would forget the Nayim lob, Gazza's fk at the cup final, most recently Ronaldino, and Bolton's very own Gareth Farrelly "cross cum shot cum lob" goal? And not to forget our very own Cantona unstoppable dipping shot few seasons back, not that any gk can do about it anyway (Ah...its good to bring back the memories :) ) While Barthez errors only occur all in a month or so, its may be due to a lack of form, combine with sloopy defending from the team. But Seaman long footballing carrer had not been able to handle the chips. While Barthez only err in league & CL, Seaman did better in WC and cup finals. I hope he will be the weak link in Arsenal team right, and come December OT will raise our voice in one as we chant "Dodgy. dodgy keeper"

Wasn't just Arsenal's Seaman, was it! It was Arsenal's Campbell as well! Thanks Wenger.

Seaman's good keeper, but he gettin' old... time for new ones to prove what they are up to and eventually take his place. If he's the national's keeper, this means that he must be the best amongst the best eh!

OK OK ............so Seaman is past his best and Sol scuffed his shot............tell me,what was Scholes doing on the goalpost when the ball went into the net (apart from ducking his head out of the way) ....holding the post up ?? ;)

I'd love to stick with them singing about dodgy keepers and us replying in "champions, champions"..

Yes but Seaman's loss of form has ramifications beyond our head-to-head meetings. It is a genuine chink in the aura of invincibility that Arenal have at the moment. Suddenly teams 1-0 down don't just give up - they try and see if they can test old spunky and get back into the game. Meanwhile the defenders start to get nervous - it would be nice to see him drop a couple of crosses in the next few games too to add to the pressure.

Looking back to last year it was goalkeeping howlers against teams like Deportivo that sent our season off course.

I love the fact that Viera and Wenger are out there defending him - the longer they stick with a keeper well past his prime the better - given that the rest of the team looks pretty damn good at the moment. Selling Wright may yet be one of Wenger's few real mistakes in the transfer market.

you must be quoting a manager of a supposedly invincible team, that was 12 pts clear at one stage...

;)

Well,
That Newcastle team and the current Arsenal side have a few things in common. They are a lot more exciting to watch then you've ever been for one...

;)

I wouldn't get carried away with Seaman's blunder. He's done it before, he'll do it again, but not every game. It's happened from time to time throughout his carreer, but in between he's always been solid enough. Besides: Arsenal usually kill off games by scoring 2-3-4 goals, so that leaves them with a great cushion anyway...

The howlers against Deportivo had no incidence (we qualified), those against Arsenal had an incidence but the team was shit at that moment and Barthez had made a great game before losing his concentration. But that day we didn't deserve to win. The defeats vs Bolton, Middelsbrough or West-Ham had at least as much incidence.

Too much stuff is made about keepers errors anyway. The ball is quicker and quicker, they have to play more with their feet, their job is not easy.

Seaman fecked up again and there's no mistake about it, but can someone tell me which bright spark came up with the idea of putting the second shortest player on the post.
Scholes is 5 foot 7. He has to strech to reach the cross bar anyway.

It was too quick for him to react, never expect Seaman to miss the ball completely.
