I was about to order a book with The Call of C'thulu and Shadow Over Innsbruck, but I didn't in the end. Thought I'd gauge opinion on here first.

I've been told those two stories are his best, but I don't want to waste my Amazon voucher if they're shite.
 
Don't even ask, mate.

It's a classic of classics.

He created the whole mythology of ancient demons and his world is fecked up. Everybody are insane.

Agree with Van. You simply have to read it ... Lovecraft was the master of the genre. He has probably influenced most if not all of our present day horror authors/movies.
