Congrats UNITED!!!!! Brilliant..For a team recently goal shy, thats the best confidence booster we can get. Firstly before the others play today and also awaiting the Scouses and the Arse soon...GREAT GUYS

Well I rate Veron but it seems clear that the Premiership is not really his cup of tea. He needs time on the ball which he cannot get with the fast and furious pace of the Premiership. Well thanks to the International game Fergie had no choice but to drop him and he will be fresh against Basle....

Well done lads....

Keane, Butt, and Beckham didn't play either. What point is trying to be made here?

Well Fortune and Scholes playing the typical "English" midfield role..On players in a jiffy, going for the tackles and quick passes and no tinkering on the ball waiting for the killer pass opportunity. Butt, Keane do the same. Get the message?

Point is Weastie old chap, that it was a fast game.

And even Seba's supporters admit he's better suited to a slower pace.

Agree. Veron out, the old United is back. The full flow style, quick movement and passing have all come back. That has proved once again dropping Veron in PL can only be good to us.

Well I am as confused as Sunny is. Cos Brown played in the heart of the defense, along with Blanc, who also had a good game.

There is far too much being read into this.

If Beckham and Giggs would stay on the wings, they would take players with them and create more time and space in the middle for Verón or whoever.

In the past, we've always had plenty of space in the centre of midfield as Beckham and Giggs were not constantly coming in.

When they come in, they bring opposition players with them and crowd the midfield.

Yes indeed a great performace, but yet again they gave us a nervous finish. For some reason our ability to kill teams off has left, but we held on and got 3 points more than a lot of people thought.

Have to say I thought Ole going through O'Brian was very funny.

Keep up the good work lads!!!

When we were 5-2 ahead we have already killed off the opponent. They pulled one back just because Blanc has left and we have a lapse of concentration. This is the best league match of us in this season, and I really hope them to keep it up.

and the peeps who thought that SAF instructed them to play as playmakers, were proved wrong, coz ole gave us width, today... while giggs was still cutting in.... If becks gets back, he'll have to go back to swinging crosses in from wide postions.....same goes for giggs.

He can certainly mix it.

You only have to look at him to see a different attitude. No more cherubic smiles....I mean, who noticed his reaction when he scored against City. Mr. Angry.......

I agree with you.

"and the peeps who thought that SAF instructed them to play as playmakers, were proved wrong, coz ole gave us width, today... while giggs was still cutting in."

So you are saying that giggs and becks move inside since 2 years, while SAF want them to stay wide.
I can`t believe that SAF would tolerate that 2 of his players constantly ignore his instructions.

"Keane, Butt, and Beckham didn't play either. What point is trying to be made here?"

Well those three didn`t play against City too and it didn`t work. While Scholes instead of Veron was the new change for the Newcastle game.
