This should put a smile on a few faces but listening to talksport 5o5 and I heard that If Liverpool dont qualify for champions League this year then they could be in serious financial trouble due to the amount of shite that Houllier has bought - What a laugh eh!! We could see another Leeds situation on our hands then hopefully in desperation they will get Dave Bassett in to stave off any relegation problems or perhaps an ex Liverpool Legend like Jimmy Corkhill or Cilla Black will come in. I know lets play Scouse fantasy Football and see who can pick the next best Liverpool manager - Taking into account that once Gerrard Houllier goes the next guy will have no money, a squad of 45 players (half of which dont know each other ) that needs to be trimmed to a squad of 17, no European football and fans that only came to watch their team this season to cure insomnia!! Go on Guys what dya reckon :D
 
I think that was an exageration. We will be in a bit of debt if we don't qualify but we made a profit of £9m this year, our wages only increased by 15% which is nothing compared to many others such as yourselves and Arsenal. We do need to off load quite a few players, Vignal's on loan to some French team, unfortunately Partridge is probably off to Coventry, it's rumored that Leeds want Biscan, Tottenham want Heskey and Charlton were in for Diomede a while back, Heggem is also wanted by Rosenborg and I think Celta want Berger.

So if we reduce the wage bill and get some money from sales, don't buy anybody else then we'll be fine.

demonisher - you had me guffawing with your reference to getting a Liverpool legend such as Cilla Black to manage Liverpool! They could do worse!

But what will your footballing level be like? I think you need to buy some class to get out of the mess you are in. If you are not careful, you could end up as low as tenth come the end of the season IMO. Only getting a point in 15% of your games over the last 11 games is shocking.
