Bit of hit and miss this one, could have been great but ended up being slightly above average.
The cinematography & the settings were excellent as were most of the supporting cast, especially the roles of young Pip, Jaggers, Joe, Herbert Pocket & Ray Winstone is perfect as Magwitch.
Having a Burberry model whose only 'method' of acting is to slightly open his mouth in all situations as the leading man let it down hugely, and also the fact that he's better looking than Estella makes a lot of it hard to swallow.
Gillian Anderson as Miss Havashim is a fresh & honorable effort even if she doesn't quite pull it off 100%.
