Remember how Keegan lost it when Fergie commented on how players raise their game against United and can't do it the rest of the time.

Happened again today.

I think Fergie was right.
 
What in the name of Lucifer are you trying to say in this post, mentioned Taylor, Wilkinson, the Keegan??? Explain yourself?

shes right, i commented on the same thing in the game thread.

In 95 or so Wilkinson's Leeds were crap but reaised their game when the met Utd and Fergie said the Leeds players were cheating their manager by only performing well in their "cup final". Keegan famously lost his rag on live tv as the Toon were playing them next and he thought Fergie was talking tactically.

Villa players are doing the same thing, the were totally useless last Monday night, did nothing right. Yet they come to OT 6 days later and play well, they'll be back to normal next week and GT will be sacked.

i think that's the case with all the teams in the league. They push themselves harder when they face United. They don't even play this hard in their own derby games...

since we've become beatable i think teams are looking at the United game to raise their confidence...

i have a feeling Villa maybe able to hold on to this confidence for a couple of more weeks before GT is finally sacked.
