Good songs to learn on the guitar

Coheed and Cambria's stuff is pretty good.

Coheed and Cambria - Welcome Home (The album Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star VI, Vol I is awesome. So is Vol II)

Anything from Tool. Not really mainstream stuff, but still good.

What I usually do is go through my CDs and iPod and choose an album that I haven't learned everything from it. Then I'll sit down and work it out.

I like playing sultan's of swing (badly) I've just started playing and picked up some resemblance of it - fun song to play, and one of the greatest guitar songs.

Irrelevant but I'm Struggling with tablature, and as another aside what guitars do you play? I'm looking to buy a strat soon.

You should learn some of led zeppelin's stuff. They have loads of cool guitar stuff. I'm playing on my old epiphone dot. Had it for three years now.

Yeah, I strugged with tab for a while, but once you get your head around it you'll be fine. I play a Squier Jagmaster, I've had it for a couple of years and the quality is pretty poor. I actually play bass, so I thought I'd go for a copy to save money, but the more I play Squiers and Epiphones, the more I think it's a case of 'buy cheap, buy twice.' Having a poor quality guitar sucks, especially when it comes to recording. If you're serious, I'd really try to save up and buy a decent model.

Cool, I'll have a look at that too :D

As for tab I'v never had any problems with it always found it easy, my cousin however cant read it for shit.

I have two guitars, my first ever one which I got for christmas which is just a crappy Elevation strat copy. But my newer one which I got about three months is a Joe Perry signature Les Paul (the Epiphone version) cost me £300 and I love it (mainly because the Gibson version is my dream guitar:D)

Yeah, always liked thier riffs but never got down down learning them
What's your guitar ability, and what type of music do you like?
Well, I have been playing since christmas (more accurately January) I like to play any types of music realy (though my favourite is Rock) as long as it has a nice tune to it then i will have an intrest in playing it

Also I have apllied to take music in college and for my interview I have to play at a grade 5 standard (which is a bitch because iv been playing for what six months) so iv got a handy grade 5 guitar book from amazon which has been great. But I also have to play two pieces of my choice that last for 1 minute, iv started learning the solo to November Rain of GnR as one of my pieces can anyone recommend something else like a solo or something? Cheers

An easy one is - You look Wonderful tonight tabbed for the vocals

I'm on the brink of throwing my guitar out the window!
Don't know how many times this is now I've tried to learn Little Wing. Tried many times during the last 2 years but always end up frustrated and not at all happy about playing guitar. But it seems so easy when watching instructions video.
It's pretty much the same when I try to learn others' music

i've been playing for around 4 and a half years now...or is it 3 and a half....nah think it's 4.

i started with some nirvana riffs, nice and easy. then went onto some metallica riffs.
