Remember that new show we mentioned the other day? Starring Lost's John Locke and Ben Linus, from executive producer J.J. Abrams? It's officially happening, and soon. Advantage Abrams!
After down-to-the-wire negotiations with Lost network ABC, NBC has picked up Odd Jobs, the new hour-long drama from Abrams starring Terry O'Quinn and Michael Emerson, reports Deadline.com. The show has a put-pilot commitment from the network, which means that NBC will air the pilot and most likely pick it up for series.
Locke 'N Linus - Next fall on NBC?
Little is known about the new show, other than it will center on O'Quinn and Emerson as former Special Ops agents. Abrams' former Alias writers, Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec, will write the project and executive produce. The duo is also working on the script for Abrams' Mission: Impossible IV.
Bad Robot figurehead Bryan Burk will also executive produce the series, alongside Abrams, Appelbaum and Nemec (which would be a great name for a law firm.) NBC now has two projects with Team Abrams, the first being this fall's spy show Undercovers.
This series joins Bad Robot's very busy TV slate, which includes FOX's secret Alcatraz series and a show at CBS from The Dark Knight co-writer Jonathan Nolan, titled Person of Interest.
