How are they going to get around the fact the after the end of the third game

Wouldn't get my hopes up for that, I think it's fake. Absolutely no mention of God of War 4 anywhere on the official sites or similar sites where information normally would be.

I'm not saying the game isn't coming or anything, only that the trailer is fake.
I could see it coming in 2012, don't think Sony has anything big announced yet for the fall so it makes sense, there has been reports of some sites putting the game up for sale for then as well.
I guess we might see in 9 days at Spike VGA, apparently they are unveiling a big Ps3 exclusive. Last year Mass Effect 3, Uncharted 3 and Skyrim was unveiled there so I suppose God of War IV could match that epicness!
I hope this is the exclusive they're planning in announcing. Brilliantly fun series.

God of War 3 was the 1st I played in the series. I liked it. But there aint much to it apart from looking good. Really not a great game.

Many feel that GOW III was the worse of all of the games in terms of gameplay released on all platforms, also prequels have been on the PSP, and there is no way to take Kratos forward. I suppose that they don't want to bother spending a lot of money going into say a new mythology for the next games on PS3, so this is a cheap way to let it say goodbye.
GOW III was the worst game in the sense that GTAIV is the worst GTA game. I didn't like GTA IV at all. I've played GTA too much. I still liked GoW III a lot but it wasn't as good as 1 or 2. And I've got them redone for PS3 which is great. The story was fresh and good when it came out and they really finished the series with the bang. I thought that might be it but like with anything else in movie or game making, if it makes money you don't stop.
Considering the story in GoW I don't see how GoW IV would be God of War. Where would the godlike aspect of that game come from? He didn't start being godlike until the first game.

Depends where it's placed in terms of Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta.
Ghost of Sparta happened after God of War. I've only played Chains of Olympus briefly. Thought it was really good. It was some sort of extended demo via PSN and I'd have bought it if I could. I found it odd that he had the same basic weapons in that game because he got them in GoW.

I own all of the GOW games. I will be having a slice of this.
You could have argued that you still wouldn't have been wrong, Ghost of Sparta just wouldn't hold much relevance

Was displaying how dismissive ignorance feels like. I like turn based. My childhood was about pokemon on the gameboy.No Kratos in multiplayer, but looks slick.
I downloaded the God Of War collection 2 off of PSN the other day. It's both of the psp games converted for ps3 and in HD. Took a fecking long time to download.
I can take or leave multiplayer. Hopefully, they match Naughty Dog's efforts and it doesn't detract from the SP experience.
Multiplayer looks pretty bad. Not sure what they feel it was needed
