i completly agree well said. those fools who call them selves Man Utd Fan should be backing Keano and veron and SAF, anyway most of those people r sad ARSE and shitpool fans. so feck off

I've criticised Keane in the past, but never in relation to his commitment to the team or his ability. On the field he is one of the best midfielders in the world, and probably the best in his role. If he keeps producing on the field i am willing to take back any criticism i have laid at his door. Granted that won't mean shit to him, but atleast it will prove to some of the people in here who have given me un-merited abuse that i am willing to admit when i am wrong.

That's bollocks, just beacuse someone supports Man Utd, does not mean that they have to have the same opinion as every other Man Utd supporter - otherwise what the feck is the point of having a forum, you would already know what everyones opinion was and would have nothing to discuss. :)

Opinion is just that opinion, Keane has shown undying commitment to United and has proved that time and time again on the pitch. Who's is the first name all United fans sing every week, Keane's that say's enough for me.

Robson was fantastic, Ince was better and Keane is the best midfield player we've had in my lifetime, that's good enough for me.

Did you ever hear the scousers slagging Souness, Case or McMahon ? NO, ask yourselves why the press has it in for Keane, look no further that SAF and his press relations or non-relations and then you'll understand why Keane is getting the press he is, he's an easy target. Why, because he wrote some crap, well sorry folks he's a footballer not an author, if I want to read a book I'll choose Ian Banks or Roddy Doyle not Roy Keane... ;)
 
No problems with keane when he is playing wihin the rules , at least approximately so ...its when he doesnt , gets sent off , get a further disrepute charge etc for doing something prattish off the field ...no bloody use to anyone sitting in the stands is he ????? or if his fellow squad members are pissed off with him for too much mouth ...imagine the similar situation at your workplace .......

Agreed, but Viera and Wise have a far worse disciplinary record than Keane...! Nobby Stiles used to get the early bath but I don't hear anyone saying he was a dirty player..! Every team needs someone in the middle dishing it out, that's unless football has suddenly become a nice friendly game since I left the UK....?

Recipe for success:

Nutter in goals
Full backs who take no prisoners
Nutter and mr Normall in centre defence
2 fanny merchants on the wing
1 complete nutter and two graffters in midfield
great centre forward who knows where the goal is.

EG:

Scmikes
Denis & Gaz
Dolly & Rio
Becks & Giggs
Keane, Butt Scholes.

Nice to see Nicky Butt's interview with Richard Keys before the game. When asked about the effect of Keane's book on the United camp he said the United lads "had a good laugh" about it and also added that "all the United lads love him". <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

Manux 399's recipe sounds tasty enough BUT: Schmikes at his peak was the best keeper who ever lived, but there is no doubt that Barthez is the bigger 'nutter' - and don't we love him for it..?
Also, as I've said before, Keane's commitment is to winning every trophy, every match, every tackle... It's a personal obsession, but does he truly love Utd? Would Giggsy have pre-meditadedly picked up a three match ban for the sake of revenge? Not in a million years! Would Keano? Too feckin' true!
