Wouldn't be the first false dawn

But potentially a lot of money to spend on the ground and refinancing might be a lot more expensive if interest rates increase

Plus of course there is 4 consortiums with a lot of financial backing looking to buy Chelsea who may well be interested in other options

Perhaps I'm being overly optimistic but maybe it could be the logical time for them to cash out

Mods if better merged with existing glazer threads do your thing but I thought the article was worth a new discussion

The Express. Can you put that in the title please so that everyone knows to ignore the BS?

From this article:

"Unfortunately for those supporters, however, there’s little chance of the Americans selling up at the current moment in time."

This thread needs locking

Let's get Elon Musk to buy Manchester United if he fails to buy Twitter.

Was waiting for the caveat. Poor source really, not sure who’d be able to afford it either outside of countries/states.

The source doesn't even say the Glazers want to sell.

This is a stupid clickbait thread.

Looking at the likely cost of refinancing the glazers are either going to have to put their own money in or take less out

Personally I think it's far more likely than it's been before as buying with debt works when financing is low cost ... When inflation spikes usually interest rates will and yeah the model breaks and I'm not sure I see them wanting to put their hands in their pockets

Makes no sense to sell now. The stock price is undervalued and is only just around the 2012 price. Inevitably the price will retrace back and probably reach the 2018 high in the next year or so, and then will be a great time to offload shares and sell the club.

You're clickbaiting other posters with your thread title and link to an article that goes out of its way to say they aren't interested to sell.

The Glazers will sell when we stop being a massive cash cow. We're not there yet, United is still one of the most profitable clubs in the world.

We just need some insanely rich billionaire, who hasn't made their money exploiting the poor, or even worse, to for some reason fancy throwing billions and billions into buying the club, building a new ground and signing players to a level that makes Man City look non league.

The list of people in that boat must be huge...
