From what i have seen it is obvious that keane is not firing on all cylinders right now and it may have cost us points.

Fergie obviously believes in keano so much that he is confident that points dropped now can be made up later when keane comes back to top form; he just needs to get some first team games under his belt.

Keane was put straight into the first team after only one reserve game, personally, i think he should have played 2 or 3 reserve games before being introduced - seen as we were winning there was no real urgency to bring him back.

What do you think about this? is fergie doing the right thing in rushing keano back in order to finish the season strongly or should he have waited until keane was truly fit and on top of his game?

Keane has had a reserve game, lasting the whole 90, but taking it very easy, not tackling, and just playing like a short passing Veron who could blast the ball (over the bar, bit like Ince in that respect). I didn't really expect to see the old Keano so soon, after everything he's been through, but I had hoped to see old Keano, and not the new tame Keano that he's said he'll be. Keane's main asset is his ability to press and tackle, which he was the best in the world at, and then followed by his leadership, surging runs, reading of the game and accurate passing. If Keano is going to take time to gain form, and adjust his game, then I'm not sure we can afford to do so right now, when we had a side that worked, with Phil and Veron or Scholes in the centre. If we were at the top of the table, 7 points clear, I might throw Keane into the side and let him get his form in the first team, but since we're not, he should use the reserves to earn his way back in, once he's got his match fitness and sharpness back.

Keane is but a shadow of his former self. It is time Fergie took him on a hunting trip: Two go out, but only one comes back.

Dont fix what isn't broken

if we had won in this last game with the same performance (from the same keano you have been unhappy with right now or any other players) your assessment would be the opposite. Strange how three points make all the difference and affect your judgement, huh! And then Fergie would be praised by you guys how smart he is playing his team that way and how quickly keano recovered, blah blah....

Anyway, it's easy to play manager with hindsight...... but we all know what a difficult job our manager is having right now. The fact of matter is, he has choice, and it appears most if not all of them are first team material!!!

It's so easy to say, 'let keano settle in the reserve'..... But the game is not that easy, isnt it?!

Keep the faith, would you??!
