Give some players a rest in Westham match?

I think SAF should rest some players in the coming match againt WHU. I noticed that some tire legs in Deprotivo match. O'shea, Phil, Ole or maybe Giggsy. I don't know whether SAF will rest some of the key player or not. What do you guys think?

As for me, I would like to see the the same team (againts arsenal and deportivo) playing again. No REST !!!

No. We should build up the momentum now and under-estimating any opponent is dangerous. We can rest some players in the Worthless Cup in mid-week.

If we already entered the quater-final of the cup, we should fight and win the cup. SAF played some key players in previous round and I think he's seriously wanted to win the cup. Maybe we should rest some players in WHU match and play them back again in Chelsea match next week.

I'm really puzzled about Fergie's "sudden" interest in Worthless Cup this season.

He's the great manager and he always knows the direction of the team. Why not in the cup match? We can try and win everything before SAF retire.

Don't say it too loud, we're aiming for the Quad this season. :D

Worthless Cup is no so important to us, it's better to spend more in FA cup, EPL & CL!
Lets our reserve team to fight the blues.
May be we can see some of our future stars in that match.
;) ;) ;)

Don't rest anybody. If some players need rest, give them a day off from training tomorrow and part of Friday, not from a game
Remember what happened the last time we tryed resting players (ex last season, beginning of this one).

PS May be Fergie is planning a surprise retirement at the end of the season, so he wants to win everything. :D (hope not)

Personally, I feel, we have to let the guys continue doing the job. Make substitutions in the West Ham game early in the second half, if need be. But, we cannot let the steam that has been building up so ominously dissipate so easily.

One player I would start against the Hammers, though, would surely be Diego Forlan. He would deserve a couple of games.

No, they'll be fine for Saturday. After working so hard to get ourselves back in the title race, the last thing we want to do is to take our foot off the pedal. Anyway, they always say that games can't come fast enough for players when they're winning and I'm sure they'll all want to play on Saturday.

No No No!!

It's too early to let the momentum slide. And when will people realise that there is no such thing as an easy game.

Have you forgotten Bolton?

Fergie has a dilemma here. Yes perhaps some players should be rested to avoid possible burn out later on but on the other hand this team has built up such a head of steam that I doubt if anyone wants to be rested. Furthermore no game, including the West Ham one should be taken lightly. You don't want to undo all the good work of the last couple of weeks. I suggest Fergie keeps the same eleven to start, backed up by a strong bench including Becks, Rio, Keane and Butt when the latter is fit. Fergie can then confidently make the necessary subs as and when required. In that way the current momentum can be maintained.

Definitely no resting of players. For the good of the team spirit and....... errrrr.....

Because I'm going to the game on Saturday too :D

I hope seba will play and keep on his good forms in EPL as he will miss the next CL vs JUV game.

Only start to take out player when we are leading 2 or 3 goals against WH. We can't take any match too lightly in the EPL now.

No, it's called "on the job training" and they can't choose whether they train or not. So it's still a type of work.

Just not all at once.

Rest players? Heavens no. Those days are over, in the Prem at least.

West Ham will be fighting for their lives, I think this will be closer than everyone thinks.

We're on a roll now and we shouldnt break up the team just for the sake of it - there's no CL to worry about for another two months.

Dont change the team, and we'll win 3-1. :D

No chance, 3 points off the top and players should be rested?

Rest any players now and all momentum will drop again.

Also West Ham are a bit of a bogey side for us in the past couple of years so performing players should stay on the pitch.

What i do is called a 'Job'

I suppose you could call it work at a stretch but i'm spending a lot of time on here aren't i

Thing is, i'm at my place of feckin work all cnutin week not doin fuk all after a couple of hours running in and out of traffic cones

We cant afford to rest on our laurels. What a disaster it would be after beating Newcastle, Arsenal, Liverpool, Deportivo if we drop points to West Ham again. Surely the current players can keep it going for another couple of games against the lesser lights of football. In the next few weeks we will have Keano,Butt, Blanc, Ferdinand and Beckham back and with a couple of signings in January are sub bench should be again full of internationals battling for places like it should be. We should try to win the worthington cup as it will keep players on their toes just like in treble season. We could with a trip to Cardiff.

Rest??? What rest....

We only had 2 first team players on the bench against Deportivo, Forlan & Becks.....moreover the is no CL games for the next 2 months, and with the easier games coming up for us (at least on paper) this is our chance to return to the top of the table!!!!! (with some luck, we might even open up some lead)

Realistically, IMO SAF will rest some players for the Worthington cup.

no way, the Arse have a tough game and we need to the flow going for awhile, id like to see a resonable side against the Blues in the worthnothing cup though, but bu all means rest players, a balance needs to be found.
