I'd hope none of our players are enjoying it at the moment Davo. They should all have been given a right rollocking.

Must feel like lottery everytime you win with that wales team and you have now 2 which obviously influenced his mood, 2 lottery wins in a row would make anyone happy, but it's the short term memory working. Wait until after the winter break and he won't be as positive.

is there somethin seriously wrong at OT at d mo? n i dont mean on the playin side. players should know not to speak out in such a disrespectful manner, u can be sure giggsy aint the only one feelin that way. when was the last time a player came out n said that about the club? with the exception of sum toosser like alpay. im surprised giggs said it. fergie doesnt command the same respect n authority as before by d looks of things, i may be wrong but its always a bad n sad sign when a player speaks out like ***

At least he is not getting slagged off publically to the press and blamed for being knocked out of the CL...

He probably meant its not much fun losing to city, which is fair enough, it should be anything but. But its an unusual thing to say, and makes me wonder if its linked to his loss of the vice-captaincy. I wouldn't be surprised if Giggs was sold in the summer unless he really gets his act together soon.

It showed him saying it on Skysports yesterday. It was more in a manner of feck yes it's good to get a break from that tension and join a team who are up beat and on a high from some good recent results.

No malice just relief of getting away(IMO)!

Davo you've been missed

;)

but if there was really a problem between giggs and SAF then SAF wouldn't have been using giggs.. we have seen how hard SAF can be on players who don't go along with his system..

it's a very odd thing to say by giggs to be honest.. i've always thought he was one of the quietest one.. i hope he didn't mean anything by it..

and i'd really hate to see that problems between him and SAF will end in giggs having to leave.. it'd be doom's day for United. it truly will be.

There is nothing odd about Giggy`s comments. He simply means that he is not enjoying Manchester United`s mediocre streak - and why should he? He has experienced the greatest highs in the game and at this point in time MU are looking a bit of a shadow of their former self.

So if Giggs is not enjoying Manchester United`s current form, Sir Alex would look upon that as a sign that Giggs cares and wants to do something about it.

but if it is true about the rolexes and how giggs has lost his drive, then i doubt there's much he wants to do about it.

i'd really love to be proven right that the only reason giggs is not playing well is because he's playin out of position.

it's really upsetting to hear people say Giggs is past it at the age of 28. it's even more upsetting to hear that people think he's lost the drive to win for United.

Much as I love Keano, I wish he had come out and named the so-called rolex/expensive cars brigade whom he feels relaxed after they had reached the high of the Treble Year. I think his comment has caused a number of misconceptions about players he was supposedly referring to.

Giggsy was a star from his teenage years and had accumulated enough wealth and become used to stardom and its trappings well by the time of that ill-fated European Cup game Keano refers to. I would be surprised if Giggsy mentally sat back and relaxed after the Treble and I would bet he WON`T be on his way out of Old Trafford.

He is known to have an old head on young shoulders, loathes losing, and is certainly not complacent. I think some people are now exaggerating the quality of his performances and judging him on the basis of Roy`s rolex/cars/bottling comments. Even if it were Giggsy that `bottled` it before that big game, for me that points to someone who cares about winning. Not the reverse.

Come next season, let`s see how accurate (or otherwise in my opinion) are all the premature comments regarding Giggsy`s supposed loss of desire to win. Pure nonsense I think, and I don`t think Giggsy is on the hitlist.

No - for me Giggsy will always be a Red Devil!
But does anybody REALLY think that Giggsy is complacent because of material things, had or has lost his hunger for winning and is one of the players Sir Alex wants to ship out of Old Trafford?

I know I am biased but I can`t see it. I think Sir Alex is talking about players` attitudes more than anything and I think Giggsy has the right attitude even if he is inconsistent this season and was not his usual self last season. I love Keano but I think the man suffers from depression per se, not at times like most people, and some of his comments reflect that.

why wait till next season? he should already pick things up for our next 5 crucial games - 2 in the CL and 3 in the EPL. this is important, we really need him to show his strength NOW.

thinkin about it, i haven't heard SAF make one good comment about giggs.. he has mentioned the team players being too relaxed, but he atleast have protected certain players like RVN, Forlan, Veron, Blanc.. but not once has he said anything about giggs.. maybe there IS a problem.. someone should confirm this though..

It is funny how the quote by Giggs was made and now there is talk that Inter wants him, and is willing to pay $$$$ for him and for Allan Smith. I really don't think though, that United is going to give him up that easily.

don't get me wrong, i love giggs.. i've always thought he was the best example for kids in our long history.. he always lets his boots do the talking and has always beat criticism on his ability.. he was an engine in our '99 team.. has been our engine for almost 10 years..

i will keep thinkin he's the best on the left for us as i truly believe that if we play him wide he can recall his ability.. he should be given a chance to play there again.
