the question should be, have SAF rested him enough? i think he would make the bench though.

He'll play tomorrow, not the best idea IMO, but he will play if fit.

I hopes he play tho, could punish Melchiot if he plays haven't been impressed by the right-back

should we let him play for one reserve game first before heading back to EPL?

The pressure is going to be on Ryan to prove all the doubters wrong. He's absolutely vital to our prospects. We need his pace and ability to run at and beat defenders, without which our attack looks somewhat pedestrian. In a way I hope he starts on the bench and comes on to a great reception from the true fans, so there's no doubt about it in his mind that he's got plenty of support. It's then down to Ryan to get his act together and quickly.

He'll leave being a hero then. ;)

Agree with julian..psychologically comihg off the bench to do the business on the pitch might just be the boost he needs. Getting the fans back behind him vocally is very important now IMO. If he plays he def' needs a big game..

well if hes fit hes gonna have to play a part, i cannot believe how critical u guys are just after some bad performances. keane was probably right..... go back and eat ur prawn sarnies!

Nobody is being critical just for the sake of it!

He's had quite a few poor games recently, and trying to run off bad form like that by playing isn't necessaarily the best thing to do.

It's not a case of loss of ability or desire, but more often than not mental state - pressure, confidence, belief, stress, focus, fatigue, and sometimes trying too hard. These problems can also have their cause from the non-football world.

A spell on the bench is usually the best treatment for this, as can be seen with Beckham's quite lengthy benching last season. It gives the player time to mentally regroup, and come back fresher and more focused.

Well he is fit i imagine, have just looked at the temas and both him and veron are on the bench.

Same team as at WBA.

I agree with you though in that a spell on the bench will do him good, it will make him take stock, you just see what happens when he gets his confidence back.
