What's the point?

Is it meant to be more or less sever than a ban?

Why does it screw threads up so that you can't get to the last page?

I thought the point of 'banning' pete was to give him a time out, so I'm not sure what the point was in ghosting him as opposed to giving him a temp ban. Ghosting I guess is 'fun' for a while (until the person notices that they've been ghosted) but as you say, it fecks up a lot of threads for us.

The easy way for someone to spot whether they are ghosted or not is quite simple. Log out, and see if you can find your posts and threads. If they are gone, then you are ghosted.

Correct, only the user themselves and the mods/admins can see their threads/posts.

It's actually far more cruel than a banning.
