we badly need julien escude now especially since wes brown's injury as i feel p.neville is not someone who has enough quality to play for a club like utd. I've watched escude play with rennes and france u21 and he seems like a brilliant full back.The good thing about him is that he can play at right back and at left back, he can also play at centre back but i haven't seen him play in this position before.I think this player could develop into a world class full back just like mickael silvestre is becoming. escude has pace,power,he's good on the ball,good in the air and a fantastic tackler.have any of you watched him play?

i think the high profile clangers for england and Utd and 4 years of constant sniping and sneering at him by the ABUs have taken their toll. success breeds success but it works the other way too. he appears to be caught in a spiral now. i do feel sorry for him it must be said. he is a red after all. i'd feel shit in his position.
Latest on Escude is; he feels his loyalty to Rennes should be rewarded and despirately wants the United move. He is training on his own (training with Rennes, but isolating himself). I read somewhere the clubs will meet on Aug 25th to re-negotiate.
