George Boateng has expressed his intention to leave Villa this summer, seems he's unhappy at finishing mid-table. He's a player who's always impressed me. How about this?

Sell Veron for bucket loads after the World Cup.

Buy Boateng as a battling midfielder to give cover for the quartet that we know are the best midfield four in the premiership.

Use the balance to strengthen the squad with two centre halves (one big name), a full back and a Sheringhamesque striker.

Thats it, I've solved it!!!

If only everything in life was so simple. ;)

Seriously though, Boateng would be a great addition to any squad. Any thoughts?

He wouldnt improve our midfield, id have Nicky Butt in front of him and all so

I'd be very happy if he were to end up at Old Trafford, and happier still if he played every week.

I'd have Nicky Butt ahead of him too. But key word "cover". We can't go on having the likes of Fortune and, in fairness, Phil Neville deputising in midfield. I mean there have been times this season when we have started with Ole on the left wing. Surely that isn't right.

He's definitely too good to sit on the bench. But he'd be a great addition to the squad.
I can but dream....
