Gears of War 2 has blasted its way to the top of the UK chart while LittleBigPlanet managed fourth behind FIFA 09 and Fallout 3.
Elsewhere in the top ten, WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 clotheslined its way to fifth, followed by Professor Layton and the Curious Village at sixth.
However, 7th November was a big Friday for new releases so there were inevitably going to be losers, and an eye cast further down the chart reveals MotorStorm: Pacific Rift and Tom Clancy's EndWar languishing in 29th and 30th respectively.
Data compiler Chart-Track reports that Gears 2's first-week sales were the third-highest ever on Xbox 360 behind GTA IV and Halo 3, and the eighth-highest for any game ever.
Meanwhile, sales for FIFA 09 dipped by one per cent, while Fallout 3's drop-off was 42 per cent, enough to remove it from first to third. Sony won't be happy that even with that kind of decline ahead of it, LittleBigPlanet managed only fourth.
Finally, Guitar Hero World Tour pops up for its first week at 17th, although it's worth remembering that it was only the guitar-and-game and solus disc versions that launched last week, with the big instruments bundles set to go on 14th November. Will it emulate Guitar Hero III's sterling sales? We shall see.

Quite disappointing for Sony I would say, considering all the marketing that has gone into LBP and the fact it had a couple of days head-start, to be behind 3 games wouldn't have been the result they were looking for.
Still, early days yet.
