Not considering him for the ODI's has proved again to be a big mistake. India lacked a grafter at the number three and it cost the place in the finals.

I would like Ganguly to play. Sad part was when he was last dropped, he was actually playing well.
I dont know what went wrong this series. First of all, we just have to stop with these long lay offs, we always come back and look awful, then get into our stride a few series in, and then again go a long break. Its fecking big time with the momentum.
Secondly, im not sure if Chappels actually taking this team anywhere. Two years back we were looking such a fantastic side, since then its been alternating between brilliant and ordinary. And this series reminds me of almost a decade back when it was Sachin and the rest in his shadow.
And the experiments have gone too bloody far. We arent the Aussies who are so discipline. Ganguly Tendulkar was a brilliant opening pair, we split that up, ditto with Sehwag Tendulkar. Let Sehwag open instead of ruining his confidence completely. Too much shuffling around for my liking. Its benitted noone, not Sehwag and definately not Dravid who is just not an opener.
The the bowlers. We have now what seems a fabulous pool of quick bowlers but dont seem to know what to do with them. Zaheers career looks a bit fecked and hes now barely a medium pacer. Munaf has gone from Indias quickest to just another medium pacer. Pathan has gone from the best talent i've seen in world cricket for ages, to someone having issues with everything about his game and then we do things like dropping SreeSanth when he bowled well and that cant be good for a youngsters confidence.

Ganguly not playing was the right decision, i don't know whos out there but Mongia isn't the answer. Sure he played well in the instance but he never took real control of the game. On another note Dravid should be 3.vijay said:
