Well, to be honest with you, I think Manchester United were the better team today. Ze Roberto cleared one off the line. Bayer Leverkusen were lucky not to be down 4-1 at the half. Then near the end of the game, Diego Placente headed one that clearly beat goalkeeper Butt.
But such is the game of football. The better team does not always advance. The teams were pretty even over the two games, but we were lucky to get the 2 away goals.
I am surprised with the the Finals on the line that Man Utd did not attack more often. In fact we held the advantage in possesion and shots on goal. One would think the vaunted Manc offense would have kicked into higher gear and taken it to us instead of counter attacking most of the game. What was Ferguson thinking?
Anyway, I tip my hat, ...and my beer to you, for a game well fought. Best of luck in your endevour of catching Arsenal for the Premiership title.
