Agent reveals Man Utd talks over Ecuador defender Frickson Erazo

Barcelona Guayaquil defender Frickson Erazo is interesting Manchester United.

Erazo has been offered to United, according to Radio La Ponderosa.

Agent Orlando Villarreal claimed: "We travelled to Portugal to meet with some people who showed an interest in Frickson, including a scout from Manchester United. In the case of United, there has been no official offer but we know that United will sign a centre-back and so we made the contact to forward the name of the player."

Ecuadorian Erazo, 24, still has three years left on his contract.

So basically an agent contacted us hawking a client?
 
Agent using United's "interest" to boost his client's reputation nothing to see here.
 
We like 8 defenders in the squad basically.

If Rio's off, then we'll get another defender. Though, i think we are likely to buy a more Vidic type Good in the air/big defender than a Rio.
 
Also remember we bid for Varane even after buying Jones.

That was before wasn't it? and after seeing him play recently, i can see why. I don't know, I still don't see the point but with the way our CB's get injured we need about 8 of them. I don't want us to see someone potentially standing in the way of Smalling's development and I still see Jones as a CB.

It just makes sense. You want cover for every position on the pitch and then some. So 8 defenders is a minimum.
