Does anyone no of any sites or any other ways i can download free music without the worry of downloading a virus from? I no of limewire but that is full of viruses and don't reall wanna download a programe to then download the music if you no what i mean. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Is it virus free? Its just its my brothers computer and he'll kick off if i download a virus.

I cant condone using such programs such as emule, but if you did install emule I am led to beleive sharethefiles.com has thousands of music links, plus films, series, games, apps etc
warez site is, a lot of the links are rapidshare though so if you don't mind waiting for the hour or whatever it is between downloading albums or you can buy an account

absolutely no viruses there and if you want to be extra safe then download from people with a higher post count
you can download from rapidshare without waiting now for free but with a slower speed.

Right people is there any danger in downloading torrents or music off the web i used to do it all the time on my laptop but it broke and so wanna use my brothers but he is against me doing this as he says it will get viruses. I have the latest version of Norton installed and so will this block any viruses please can anyone help as i'm going away Tuesday and need music and videos for my ipod and psp.
Get yourself e-mule or something similar and open allmusic.com in your browser. Search your favorite bands and have a look at similar artists or the inspired by list. Two weeks later you won't have the time to listen to it all. Just leave your computer on and downloading when you go out, always nice to come home to some new tunes 
Edit: The best thing though is that everytime you do this, Metallica will boycott another interview. Now there's an award if I ever saw one.
