......SPORTSWORLD is well on the way to grounds for divorce. Only been one PL game we've missed this year (DISH or RCA needed of course). FSW seem to have realized that "they've only tuned in to see United" very quickly. FSW have the FA Cup rights this year so you know we're going to get all the games the boys are in. The Champions League goals are now shown on the Canadian FSW Report now being shown on the US FSW at 10:00pm every night and they show the highlights and the goals.......for the first time ever I saw the goals from todays CL game. Until today we've only ever seen the goals from the ESPN coverage which has been miserable.....this year not one United game so far.
Today was real good. The manner of the win sees us right back there at the top. These last 6 games have been so important and we've won every one. What a transformation.......
Anyway back to my divorce....apart from all the United games they show just about every other game of any significance from the PL and then there's the Scottish league and the Brazilian league and la liga and the Bunderslega, it's become overwhelming....you can see just about every important game in Europe and South America, virtually 24 hours a day.
The United game against Newcastle was also broadcast on every local Fox Sports Net network throughout the US. The game was on every day on about 20 channels! 3 times a day! In the US that's very unusual. The upcoming tour will be very interesting as United are getting a lot of attention from the soccer playing public and there's lots and lots of those now and with soccer becoming a very popular sport with yougsters the power of US soccer will be seen Worldwide very soon. Within 10 years. Anyhow United are right there, with a lot of people.
It's been a real pleasure watching United's turnaround this last few weeks. Up to the Newcastle game I hadn't seen one convincing game all season. Confidence is a strange thing. And it moves from the team to the fans. I've felt just like the players must have felt. But since Newcastle you can feel the confidence oozing from the players and it projects straight to us fans. And it does. I've got this feeling we can beat anyone right now.......
I'm rambling.
