..just because it wasn't really addressed in the other now locked (??) topic. marching, re-read, i think you need to...
 
.. i'll just keep asking, and if asked, shall provide a brief essay on the benefits of having such a smashing hyperlink at the bottom of our forum! but i'm sure i'll be told to feck off again.

He was talking about a Forum Home link wasn't he?

You seem to have a thing about it - I would take Raouls answer and the fact that nobody seems interested in your question as your answer.....you do go on don't you!

he was talking about a dropdown field addition which i think would be technically more difficult than a mere hyperlink but who am i to know..

why should i take that as my answer? isn't this forum for asking questions like these?
