Fortune suffers bad break

Manchester United will be without midfielder Quinton Fortune for three months after it was revealed that the South African had suffered a broken leg.
Manager Sir Alex Ferguson announced the news before watching his side's 2-0 win over champions Arsenal at Old Trafford.

Fortune sustained the injury towards the end of United`s 2-1 victory over Liverpool on Sunday and Ferguson told Sky Sports: 'He'll be out for three months.'

Fortune had impressed in a central midfield role in the absence of injured trio Roy Keane, Nicky Butt and David Beckham.

Ferguson was already without Keane, Butt, Beckham, Rio Ferdinand and Laurent Blanc

i must say i felt bad for him when i heard the news...strange though, he hadn't worn the captain's armband...

fecking shite that for him after other injuries.

will be on his way out like Blomqvist.

can't believe it.
it really don't look that bad at Unfilled, when he was substituted by phil.

:(

I'm gutted for him.

Here's to a speedy recovery, you have to fear for him though as by the time he returns the others will be back and I can't see him getting much of a look in then.

such a shame! gets a run in the 1st team, and now this!

How can a person called Fortune be so unfortunate. <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />
there is always one witty comment in a thread.

Maybe he's not himself lately. We all have those days once in a while.

Got to feel sorry for the lad, he gets a run, plays well and gets injured without much chance of a look in when he gets back!

I feel sorry for him but he'll be back. <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

yes he will, i for one have changed my opinion on QF. he's a valuable squad player and an honourable shirt indeed :D

How old is QF? quite young anyway.

Had he been fit he may have kept veron out for the arsenal match, he's been playing some of his best stuff lately - must be extremely frustrating for him.

He will get another chance, injuries always occur, especially in midfield...
