What do you think of his contribution in the middle of the park in the last two matches?
I swear tackle is a dirty word nowadays, and he needs to make more of 'em, but I think he's give us a bit of pace in the middle. Whhaddya reckon??

I liked him when we first signed him (thought he was better than Blom) he's been out a while but didn't look too bad against the Geordies. He'll re-sign coz Fergie likes his clean living christian ways... he's no Dwight Yorke

i think he's done well covering for us in the middle. he doesnt lack for energy or effort and he at least started to put it about a bit in Basle when Scholes got stuck in too. he's a valuable squad player and an honourable shirt.

At least he looks like he cares a little, I saw him last night telling Seba to keep it tight. More power to y' fist Quents!!

A squad player that doesn't moan. Essential in a team like United.

That's a valid point, but I'm of the opinion that when fringe players like Fortune and Chadwick have had a few seasons without showing any real development and not pushing the first teamers, then they should be moved on in order to give youngsters a chance to prove themselves.

Had potential but has never fulfiled it. He's a useful squad player but with Richardson coming through this season i think his already limited role will diminsh further

Agree, and my fear is that Fortune and Chadwick will stand in the way of the likes of Rischardson

I think Fergie may be playing Fortune a lot at the moment because they had to appeal to get his work permit back.
Richardson is being brought in slowly but i agree, i hope he isn't stopped from graining valuable experience by the presence of Fortune.

he's a decent squad player but nothing more - he got hurried of the ball in his own defensive third on saturday when he could have passed and they almost scored from that, and i've noticed he likes to hold on to the ball for longer than needed, but there's no problem with having players like him as back-up.

Stewart was on the bench last night and its him who's missed out with injury, he's the reserves' defensive midfielder. Richardson is the creative attacking midfielder and winger. I hope Stewart gets at least a sub appearance soon.

If Stewart doesnt get a shot with Butt and Keano out he may as well pack his bags and make the inevitable trip to the lower divisions.

I like Quinton.

He scraps like feck and put his foot in last night.

Keano said that he always picks him in his five-a-side cos he is always battling (and he takes off his rolex).

Gave the ball away a lot against Basle, nearly cost us a goal. Journeyman, who is holding up younger, better players.

Bit harsh there stoney.

Looks a million dollars better since switching inside.

Not afraid to scrap for the ball either.

Vast improvement IMHO

hes no keano but hes neat and tidy on the ball and rarely gives it away (compared to some of his expensive colleagues)
always thought he looks better in the middle than out wide. good squad player who should benefit from a few more games.

I think Quinton has done well. He's added to the pace and fluidity in midfield, doing basic things well. He also covers a lot of ground and generally harries and closes down the opposition midfield. I think he's a better bet than Phil in that position. He's done nothing spectacular but given a run he can only improve, hopefully.

Fortune is proving reliable and efficient, while, admittedly not flashy/brilliant. Without our superstars in the side, we sure need some stability and good'ol Quinton's doing just that. Keep up the good work, Fortune boy.

I like him. He's a CM for sure rather than a LM - he just needs to show a little more urgency sometimes. Other than that he's a whole lot more than Veron is (and I mention him because they both play in the CM spot and I'd have Fortune in ahead of Veron every time).

I don't think there are too many pundits, if any,in world football who would begin to compare Fortune with Veron let alone speak of him in preferential terms. It's sad that Veron remains such a complete enigma to many United fans. But that's another story isn't it ? One which has already been discussed ad nauseam I think.

He was steady and reliable in the last two games, has this physical presence about him when he plays CM. I don't fancy him running down the wing cos he can't really beat players, but he's been useful in the middle of the park when Keano and Butt are out at the moment. Useful and handy to have in the squad.
